How FaceTA protects your privacy
Learn about FaceTA photo privacy: verified recipients claim photo messages, public posts use cartoon portraits, authentic selfies require identity checks, and selfie verification confirms a real person and the intended recipient.
A photo can start a connection without making your real photo public. FaceTA applies identity checks, visibility boundaries and data protection throughout the experience.
Photo messages are claimed by their recipient
Photos uploaded to leave a message are not made public to other users. The intended recipient must complete facial identity verification and claim the messages addressed to them before viewing those photos.
Public posts use cartoon portraits
Public find-person posts display cartoon portraits separately from private photo messages. Only the verified recipient can claim photos sent to them. Public comments and private messages have different visibility rules.
Authentic selfies require identity checks
Blind-box authentic selfies must be uploaded by their subject and pass selfie and facial identity checks. Someone else’s photo cannot replace the uploader’s verification. These selfies are shared with eligible viewers under the feature’s rules.
Selfie verification confirms it is you
Selfie verification is not intended to collect facial data. Photo comparison and liveness checks confirm that the person using the account is real and is the intended recipient of the photo message, helping prevent someone else from claiming your messages.
Common questions about photo privacy
Why do I need a selfie to view photo messages?
Liveness checks and photo comparison confirm that you are real and are the intended recipient, helping prevent impersonation. Verification is not intended to collect facial data, but does involve processing photos. See the privacy policy and verification notices for details.
Does uploading a photo reveal someone’s private profile?
Photo search supports messaging and verified claiming. It is not an unrestricted search engine for real photos or private profiles. Recipients must verify their facial identity and claim messages addressed to them.
Are all find-person photos and messages public?
Public posts show cartoon portraits and the public content supplied by the author. Private photo messages for the recipient are handled separately. Cities, post text and public comments remain public, so avoid including information you do not want to publish.
Are blind-box authentic selfies visible only to their subject?
No. They are uploaded by their subject and checked against their identity, then made available to eligible viewers under the feature’s rules. Their visibility differs from photo messages claimed only by the intended recipient.
Where can I learn about data handling and my rights?
The privacy policy explains collection, use, storage, protection and ways to manage personal information. Contact faceta@id-bear.com with privacy questions.
These explanations cover photo messages, public find-person posts and blind boxes separately. Uploaders still need lawful rights or authorization to use a photo. See the privacy policy and feature notices for the applicable data handling terms.
